Chemical Science has a wide-ranging scope welcoming interdisciplinary research from every aspect of the chemical sciences. The journal aims to publish original research in the form of Edge articles which report new findings of exceptional novelty and significance, are of wider interest across the chemical sciences. In addition we publish Reviews which are authoritative, state-of-the-art accounts of the selected research field, focusing on the key developments that have shaped the topic, rather than comprehensive reviews of the literature, and Perspectives which are a personalised account of a research area and provides a platform for authors to provide a personal or speculative viewpoint on a given subject and its future development.
